A home remedy to help children sleep at night

By ClubMom Member Tracy, Visalia, CA

My daughter has suffered from growing pains in her legs for years. I found a quick and easy way to help relieve the pain:

  1. Find a clean tube sock or athletic sock
  2. Fill the sock with two cups of dry white rice, make sure you don't use instant rice
  3. Tie a knot at the open end of the sock
  4. Then microwave the sock for one minute
Viola! You have an instant heating pad. My daughter loves to use it at night when she goes to bed. Put it on the back of your neck and it is also a great stress reliever.
